I just want you to know how large a part of my childhood you were(are). I first picked up a copy of AR! one night at latchkey in the 6th grade and read through it. It was the fourth volume; I cried unashamedly. I recently read through the first four volumes, and I'm still a little bleary eyed! Those comics inspired in part my drawing style, my writing style, and my overall outlook on life. They carry wonderful themes and rich plot, and I just want to thank you so much for doing that for me :)
Thanks so much! It means a lot to me that you would take the time to say that. The whole point of making art is to touch someone and maybe change their life in a positive way, if only even a little bit. Hearing that my work has done that for you makes me feel quite wonderful!
Hello Jimmy, I am a former Paxtang resident, and also the instructor of Illustration at Harrisburg Area Community College. I've been holding the line for illustration in this community for about twenty-one years, as an illustrator myself. Is there any possibility you could visit my class of about 15 second year college students and share your awesome work this fall semester? Let me know what you might charge for a 1 hour informal visit. We'd love to have you! Margaret Brandt: 717-991-8541.
Hi. Thanks for your interest in having me speak to your class. I normally charge $500 for local presentations. I’d love to come and talk to your students. Let me know if this works for you, and we can arrange a date.
